Kaitlyn is a dedicated educator with over 15 years of experience in teaching and tutoring, specializing in ACT and SAT prep as well as math support for students at all levels, from Pre-Algebra to AP Calculus and AP Statistics.

She graduated summa cum laude from Boston College, earning dual bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and secondary education. Kaitlyn later earned her master’s in teaching secondary mathematics from Simmons College and stays current on the latest trends in education and testing through ongoing webinars and online courses. Over the years, she has built a reputation for not only helping students improve their grades and test scores but also boosting their confidence to succeed both in the classroom and on exams.

Kaitlyn’s teaching philosophy centers around the belief that every student, no matter their learning style, can learn to enjoy and excel in mathematics. She customizes her lessons to meet each student’s needs, using their existing knowledge as a foundation while pushing them to expand their skills. Whether it’s focused test prep or deeper academic support, Kaitlyn’s goal is to make math engaging and accessible, helping students build lasting confidence and fluency in the subject. She is passionate about fostering a love of learning in every student she works with.

In addition to tutoring with IvyWise, Kaitlyn teaches Statistics and Mathematical Analysis at a local university. When she’s not working with students or in the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
